Myth, Place & Identity (artist statement)

Myth, Place & Identity showcases a major wall installation that features serpent heads combined with abstract geologic forms inspired by lightning, mountains, rivers and snakes, and reflects the architectural details found on temples and pyramids in Mexico.

I am presently exploring the head of the serpent as the embodiment of its symbolic power. The four serpent heads symbolize different aspects of identity, and the different colors represent a broad range of emotions or states of being.
