The ongoing Memories series incorporates images of snakes and serpents depicted as a sculptural negative space. I compare these sculptures to fossils that are contained within minimal geometric slabs, and have titled each of the works in this series La Memoria. The absence of the body of the snake implies a memory of the past, yet the color of each sculpture reflects the possibility for new life.
